Abstract

In the Iranian traditional culture, women's employment is not considered as a necessary matter because men are responsible for supplying the economic needs of family. On the other hand women’s interests and capabilities do not limit to the domestic activities and they can act beyond their domestic roles and much of them are interested to participate in the socioeconomic activities. Recent researches show that for Iranian women the social and psychological profits of employment have been more important than economic autonomy which it brings. Hence in this research we have tried to recognize the different aspects of this issue using the knowledge and experiences of executive managers. We choose these managers from the organizations of Tehran city. The research data has been gathered by interview. The findings show that all the managers believe in the economic, social and psychological importance of women’s employment but women had more emphasis on the economic necessity and men had more emphasis on the social necessity of women’s employment. Moreover most of the managers believed that women's employment has both individual and socio economic benefits so we need to remove the structural and cultural obstacles of women’s employment and provide the appropriate conditions for their optimum employment.

Abstract

Whenever development in spatial aspect could provide some certain guidelines for convenient and just satisfaction of service needs of residents, it could be a sustainable one. In this study, by recognizing the pattern of development spatial distribution in Khusetan cities, we try to find out whether they are in a sustainable path or not. The study is a practical one and based on a descriptive-analytical method. Our data have been gathered from Statistical Annual of Khusetan in 2011. The results suggest that development spatial distribution in Khusetan cities are not according to the goals and principles of sustainable development. All analyses show that development spatial distribution in the province is so unequal and completely against the spatial justice rendered by sustainable development. Inequality has been occurred in different levels Inequality between Ahvaz (center of province) and surrounding cities, between populous and thinly populated cities of the province, and inequality between northern and southern cities in one side and eastern and western ones in the other side. Besides, the current pattern of development in the province is against the wholistic view and systematic conduct of sustainable development in a way that sectional view of spatial development is so clear and evident.

Abstract

In the first phase of the present article, through reviewing different definitions of the concept of social development, it is tried to identify the different aspects of this concept as well as achieve a comprehensive definition of the concept. In the next step, through identifying and examining multiple Indicators which are presented by various organizations for measuring this concept, we tried to recognize the most comprehensive index of social development which measures more dimensions of this complex concept. In the third phase, considering the selected index, in addition to reporting the current status of social development in Iran, we have compared the ranking status of this country with other countries. According to the obtained results, the present status of social development in Iran, in comparison with other countries of the world and also the 16 countries of the region, is not in so appropriate situation and needs a serious consideration around the reasons of this matter and the way of improving and changing it.

Abstract

The rise of the constitutional movement (Mashrootiat) was an introduction to the changes in the traditional society of Iran. This movement (constitution) has led to social and cultural development since it required some orientations to make different groups of people – either intellectuals or illiterates– familiar with the political, social and cultural modernized waves. These orientations were provided through translating European books into Persian, Iranian people’s relationship with people from other countries, intellectual’s knowledge of science and culture, college students and industrial effects, renewal and modernizing the whole country. After the familiarization, there were developments in all aspects of an individual life. During this period, Iran’s literature accepted the cultural changes and developments due to the new ways of social and political activities in the country. In order to be in harmony and adopt these developments for achieving the public’s goal, there was a desire in literature for new method and style considered by the poets and writers. MirzadehEshqi is one of the most active poets and the most effective figure in the literature during the constitutional movement. He realized the need for the change more than others and revealed this important factor in his poems. MirzadehEshqi is a pioneer in applying a new style in Persian poetry while maintaining its origin. During the wave of asking for development and changes, MirzadehEshqi – in his short life – made some changes in the shape, language and content of the poem considered as a significant movement.

This problem is mainly caused by industrial development, geographical, climatic conditions, and dehydration. This paper focuses on the socio-cultural namely cultural capital, religiosity, life style and mass media use with environmental behaviors among citizens in Yazd. This is survey research and the population consisted of citizen in Yazd for whom 384 individuals were selected through random cluster sampling. Data collection technique was a questionnaire that has a suitable validity and reliability. The results showed that the environment factor was significantly related to cultural capital and lifestyle. There is a significant difference between men and women in environmental behaviors, too. However, age, marital status, mass media use, religiosity, education and environmental behaviors do not have a significant relationship. The results of regression analysis showed that the adjusted coefficient of determination for all the independent variables was equal to 0.278, meaning that all these variables could explain approximately 28 percent of the variation of the dependent variable (environmental factors).

Abstract

The current research is intended to study the relationship and impact of objective life quality on subjective life quality for the population of more than 15 years of age in Amol County. The required data was collected by using a survey method and questionnaire which were done on a statistical sample of 384 individuals. The descriptive findings indicated that two dimensions including the subjective and objective life qualities and their variables are lower than medium level in the county of Amol. This shows that the situation was not appropriate. The definitional findings showed that all of the hypotheses except the hypothesis for age were confirmed with a confidence level more than 99% and with an error level lower than 1%. The main variables were entered into the model for multiple regression analysis. The value of determination coefficient was 0/483. This indicated that the independent variables were defining 48/3% of the variance and changes in the dependent variables. The value is good. In order to measure the direct and indirect impacts of the independent variables on the dependent variables, the path analysis method was used. The results of the research revealed the importance of simultaneous study, relationship and the impact of the subjective and objective qualities of life instead of using the approaches individually.

Abstract

Discourse evolution of foundations, variables and influencing factors in development have led to conceptual evolution in the relation between " communication and development" , So that it's effects are also seen in development planning documents. Historical study of this evolution process in one hand, and recognition of both similarities and differences of important development plans on the other hand, present highlighting process of communication role in this field. Comparative study of communication in Sixth development plan(1355) that is the last development plan of prior regime and fourth development plan(1383) that is the first plan according to Iran's 20-year outlook plan presents historical similarities and differences from development and communication concepts. Prior sixth plan has studied " "informational and communicational aspects of national development planning" on the base of "transition from a traditional society to an information society" in 1355 by the Joint Committee on Information and communication planning, and the fourth development plan's mission is defined "knowledge-based sustainable economic growth "Based on Iran's 20-year outlook plan's goals. Abstract

Educational and cultural services in different regions of Iran have been distributed unequally in such a way that Yazd province has the most and Sistan and Baluchistan province has the least amount of educational and cultural services in national level. Therefore, the present study has been conducted with this objective to identify factors affecting the development of mentioned services, determine the centralism levels of the provinces and predict factors affecting the improvement of the status quo. The method employed in this research is descriptive-analytical which was conducted using models of factor analysis, concentration coefficient, educational services and cultural development indicator (ECDI) and multivariate regression. The findings of the present study indicate that from 64 primary indicators, 49 selective indicators having reduced into 5 significant factors and in sum determine 65.48 percent of the population variance, are effective on the development of educational and cultural services of Iran. In terms of development of desired services, 9 provinces are located in supra-developmental levels, 10 provinces in upper semi-developed level, 4 provinces in lower semi-developed level and 7 provinces in lower-developed level. To reduces the imbalance and inequality among the regions, multivariate regression predicts the proportion of the factor "educational-administrative and student personnel" more than other factors.
